Welcome to the Tacoma German Language School! We are glad you have found us online and hope to see you in one of our classrooms soon. TGLS has provided high-quality language and cultural programs for studenst of all ages.

Our classes are held on Saturdays, with evening summer classes and a week-long summer camp during June/July.

Due to the weather and power outage school was cancelled January 21. Spring term 2012 will begin January 28. Registrations are accepted until February 11. A make-up day is scheduled for May 12, 2012.

Classes for children starting age 4 and for adult students (all levels). Classes take place on Saturday mornings starting 9.30 am - 12 noon.

Summer Day Camp 2012 for children ages 4 - 12

Monday, July 23, 2012 - Saturday, July 28, 2012

Monday - Friday: 9 am - 2 pm, Saturday 9 am - 12 noon.

Registration brochure and more information will be available in February.

The primary focus is on conversation, although reading and writing area also part of the curriculum. The curriculum gives review/reinforcement and is spiraled for development. Children rotate from age-based homerooms to proficiency groupings for part of each session. All of our adult classes use a communicative approach, emphasizing conversation and include reading, writing, and grammar.
